The Coach

A PLAYER’S JOURNEY.
A COACH’S PURPOSE.

01

WHERE IT STARTED

I started playing football at 6 years old in Île-de-France, the region that has produced more professional footballers than anywhere else in the world, home to the same academies that gave the game Thierry Henry, Kylian Mbappé, and dozens of others who went on to the top of the game. It’s an intensely competitive environment, and like every kid there, turning professional was the dream.

I was selected into INF Clairefontaine, the French federation's academy for the country's most promising 13-to-15-year-olds, the same institute that produced Nicolas Anelka, William Gallas, and Blaise Matuidi. I later represented the French U17 and U18 national teams, signing my first professional contract at 18 with LB Châteauroux. My career then crossed five countries, France, England, Portugal, Italy, and the United States, alongside different coaches, different training methods, and different footballing cultures. Each one reshaped how I understand the game today.

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GAME

Coaching has been the larger part of my career: over a decade spent inside professional academies in France, as well as some of the country’s top youth development clubs, the same kind of structures that shaped my own playing days. I've worked across every age group, from U8 first touches to senior professional environments, and that range gave me something a lot of coaches never get: a real understanding of what a player actually needs at each stage of their development, not just what looks good in a single session.

Alongside that, I hold the BMF and BEF coaching diplomas in France, along with a goalkeeper-specific certification.

THE MISSION

Throughout my own career, I often felt the gap between generic training and what a player actually needed: sessions built for the group, not for the individual. Good coaches, but a system that didn’t always have the time or structure to look at one player closely enough. That gap is what led me to create Elite Football Minds.

Here, every session is built around one player: their strengths, what’s actually holding them back, and real, ongoing follow-up, including through the hard moments, not just the good ones. That includes mental support, not just technical correction, because confidence and focus matter as much as touch and technique. A player who doubts himself on the ball won’t improve no matter how good the drill is. And it includes a clear, staged progression plan with concrete steps and checkpoints, so a player always knows what they’re working toward, what comes next, and how far they’ve already come.

“Coaching is taking a player where they can’t take themself.” José Mourinho
